This is a new short story I've started working on. I will post it in parts as I finish them. I don't know how long I'm going to try and make it.

Three Page Comic Script Sample

PAGE 1

This is going to be a 9 panel grid.

Panel 1 – A couple sit at lunch, happily wasting their day. Their table is next to a large window, and people are going on about their business outside. The guy had short, dark hair and is dressed casually. This is TOM TALBOT. The girl has long, blonde hair. She is wearing jeans and a t-shirt. This is BECKY BATSON.

Panel 2 – Same panel. This time, people in the window are running by in a panic. Tom and Becky are smiling, not paying any attention.

Panel 3 – Same panel. A large, slimy creature shuffles by the window. Tom and Becky pay no mind.

Panel 4 – Same panel. The monster is almost past the window.

Panel 5 – The monster has started to shuffle backwards, its eyes shifting into the window, looking at Tom and Becky.

Panel 6 – The monster is centered in the window.

Panel 7 - The monster punches the window, cracking it.

Panel 8 – The monster shuffles away. Tom and Becky look at the cracked window.

Panel 9 – The monster is now off panel as Becky becomes infuriated, turning red.

PAGE 2

FULL PAGE – Becky has turned the table over and is posing with one leg up on the back of her chair. The other is in the seat. She is brandishing a very large, two-handed gun.

BECKY – I was eating lunch!

PAGE 3

Panel 1 – Becky is standing in the doorway of the cafĂ©. A voice pops into her head.

CAPTION – Stop.

BECKY – Shut up! Which way did you go?

Panel 2 – Becky is leaping off an overturned car, following a trail of slime.

CAPTION – This is all frivolous.

BECKY – I’ll show you frivolous after I melt this slimy bastard!

Panel 3 – Perspective on Becky as she stands in the back of the panel, the large gun almost out-sizing her. She is smirking. In the bottom right foreground, the monster stands, looking at her. He is facing away from us.

CAPTION – You could stop this all with one thought.

Panel 4 – Becky is holding the gun up. A large red beam is blasting from the barrel. It looks like there is some definite kick to the shot.

BECKY – Or I could end it all with one shot! Don’t interrupt a girl’s date, asshole!

Panel 5 – Stark white. Nothing drawn at all.
